NASHVILLE STAR SEASON 6!

I believe I’ve just about lost count of the number of folks who’ve written to me expressing concern and disappointment that we’ve made  no mention of season 6 of the country music talent show which shall not be named airing Monday nights on NBC after 5 years on the USA Network.  Season after season, my sister Judelle and I have been providing the kind of insightful commentary that you could only get from veteran performer-singer-entertainers such as ourselves, shaping your opinions, influencing your votes, and directly affecting the future of country music.  

But the SWSNBN has made its bed and will have to lie in it, and it will be none too comfortable if it is stuffed with the likes of judge/mentor John Rich. The long-simmering feud between The Chalks and John Rich is no secret in Nashville, probably due in large part to the banner with his picture on it and line through it that we have hanging on the back of our bus. He knows what he did, but until he apologizes and destroys those photos, then and only then will we return his 3 ASCAP awards which came into our possession. And is it just coincidence that the season he signs on as judge/mentor to the SWSNBN is the same season that The Chalks get banned from the set? According to the producers and local law enforcement, no it is not.

I wish it were not the case, but Judelle and I have decided that we must impose a complete media blackout of Nashvi – I mean the SWSNBN. That includes all the pages of this website – except of course for the ones which direct you here to read that we will no longer make mention of the SWSNBN and its judge/mentor /double-dealer John Rich. We wish we could offer you our in-depth analysis; tell you what to think and who to vote for because we just care about country music so stinkin’ much. You can count on us to care. You can also count on us to refuse  all further reference to the SWSNBN and j/m/d-d JR. Plus, you can always count on us to hold a grudge.
